Quick Review Of Wix: Is This The Best Website Builder?
If you don’t want to hire a web developer or want to design a website on your own, using a website builder is a good idea. There are plenty of website builders out there, and Wix is often considered to be among the best, if not the best. With more than 100 million users in over 190 countries, Wix is a great choice for most prospective website owners, no matter whether you need to design ecommerce sites or personal blogs. Here’s our review of Wix as a website builder.
What’s good?
Wix is one of the most versatile website builders in many ways, and it offers around 500 templates and that number keeps increasing. Wix also has blank templates for those who want to create a completely custom design. The website builder also allows users to sell their own music using Wix Music. This is also a drag-and-drop website builder, which means you can actually move everything on your website, and yes, it uses what’s called Artificial Design Intelligence or ADI, which works like an assistant to finally create a perfected website. Wix also is ecommerce-friendly, so you can add features like customer reviews, maps integration and booking schedules. You can add most of the new payment systems, including PayPal.
Websites that are built with this website builder are responsive, which means you don’t have to bother about the way the portal looks across devices.
On the other side
Unfortunately, some of basic features that you may want is paid with Wix. A simple example of that would be an email account, which is available through an upgrade. This might not be the best choice for those in need for more storage. Even the most expensive plan only offers around 20GB, which is not that great compared to other builders that offer unlimited storage. Switching between templates is also not allowed, and you have to purchase the domain as required from a third party.
Final word
Wix is undoubted the easiest website builder we have used so far, but the only bummer is the locking of templates. We would have also liked if the storage was a tad better, but if you are designing a simple website and don’t need a lot of expansive and extensive features, Wix should do the job.
